When you click on links to buy furniture on our site, we may earn a small commission from the retailer at absolutely no extra cost to you. This helps us maintain our platform and keep our design recommendations free.
Rooms & You participates in affiliate marketing programmes through third-party tracking networks and select direct brand partnerships. Brands featured on Rooms & You are personally curated by our design team and may evolve as our catalogue grows.
Our editorial choices — which rooms we create, which products we include, which brands we recommend — are made independently of these commercial relationships. We only feature products we have personally curated and that we believe genuinely work for the spaces we design.
Who we are
Rooms & You is a shoppable interior design platform. We create curated room packages and help European consumers find and buy the furniture they see in our designs.

What data we collect & legal basis
You can browse our room catalogue and save rooms or items freely without creating an account. No personal data is collected during browsing — saved rooms and items are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device.
When you create a free account (email and password), we collect and store your email address securely. We use it only to manage your account and respond to enquiries.
- Legal Basis for Processing: We process this data based on the Performance of a Contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) to provide you with your personal dashboard and saved lists.
- Data Retention: We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. You can request account deletion at any time by contacting hello@roomsandyou.com.
Third-party affiliate tracking, cookies & international transfers
Rooms & You operates as a curation and affiliate platform. When you click on outbound links to shop products from our partner brands, you are redirected to third-party e-commerce platforms. To track successful referrals and attribute commissions, our network partners (including Awin, CJ Affiliate, Partnerize, and brand-specific networks) may utilise tracking cookies and identifiers that capture non-personally identifiable technical data, including your device type, browser configuration, the specific page you clicked from, and the date and time of the click.
- Legal Basis for Cookies: These cookies are non-essential and will only be deployed based on your explicit Consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR / Art. 6 revDSG) gathered via our Cookie Consent Banner. You can manage, reject, or disable these cookies at any time via your browser settings or our banner.
- Swiss visitors (revDSG): This processing is conducted in full compliance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG). Swiss residents have the same rights as EU residents under GDPR — see “Your rights” below.
- International Data Transfers: Some of our network partners may transfer and process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. We ensure these partners utilise Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to guarantee data protection compliance.
